Greece is among the countries with the oldest olive cultivation traditions in the world. Like wine, quality olive oil varies from year to year and depends on many factors. Therefore, our mission and goal is to produce and provide our customers with high-quality olive oil with every harvest. Every country and every region has its own history and its own olive varieties, which naturally developed in that location. We welcome you to the Halkidiki peninsula, the birthplace of the world-famous green Halkidiki olive. Eighty percent of the population of Halkidiki is involved in olive cultivation and related products. Our village, Metaggitsi, is the olive oil village on the Halkidiki peninsula, renowned for its olive oil production. For generations, the village has primarily focused on its native "Galani" olive variety, which is used for olive oil production. Get to know us and our olive village! Welcome to Halkidiki! Whether you're an olive oil connoisseur or a novice, our tasting seminar, followed by a short hike through the olive groves, will allow you to share our experience and knowledge and deepen your appreciation for nature and the olive tree. How can I recognize a high-quality olive oil? What are its characteristics? Are there differences between olive oils? Is olive oil healthy? Which oil should I use in my cooking? What should I consider when buying olive oil? After our olive oil seminar and tasting, you'll get to know our high-quality, locally produced olive oil and be able to answer these and other questions yourself. Drinks and traditional cold dishes prepared with our olive oil will be available during the seminar. After participating in our seminar, you'll receive a certificate of attendance as a memento, along with our brochure containing all the relevant information.
